Masquerade Party

 

This evening we spent two hours getting dolled up
for a party. We were invited to a masquerade party!

At the party, a gentleman came to us and introduced himself as
orphanage director. We exchanged some chitchat about the weather and
pets, then he said, "How many kids can you ladies afford right now?"

Wow, "ladies", plural! As I said, he's a gentleman. My wife just
smiled and said, "He can only afford to swallow them at this point."

I blushed but they didn't notice. It was a masquerade party.
